When you choose to offer benefit bikes through Lease a Bike, we want the process to be as secure and simple as possible for everyone involved. Here, we explain how the contract structure works, as well as the support you as an employer and your employees receive from us throughout the entire process.
How the Contract Structure Works
Lease a Bike provides the complete benefit bike package—which includes our digital portal, comprehensive insurance, service package, and access to our extensive dealer network. Since we do not act as a financing partner, the leasing and invoicing themselves are handled in cooperation with an external partner.
To offer benefit bikes in accordance with the Swedish Tax Agency’s regulations, two agreements must be approved:
Framework Agreement (between the employer and Lease a Bike): When registering in the portal, you as the employer approve our terms of service and sign a framework agreement with our leasing partner. This agreement makes it possible to lease benefit bikes in the company’s name.
-
User Agreement (between the employer and employee): When an employee wants to choose a bike, an agreement is signed that regulates the rights and obligations related to its use. This agreement covers, among other things, the gross salary deduction, care of the bike, and what happens in the event of employment termination.
We provide a ready-made legal template in the portal that you can either use as is or adapt to your own internal policies.
Together, these agreements ensure a clear division of responsibility for everyone involved.
Our Support During the Agreement Period
We do not leave you on your own once the agreements have been signed. We are available to support both you as an employer and your employees with all questions—from portal management and payroll administration to orders and insurance matters.
Ready-made information materials: To make your internal communication easier, we offer a complete landing page with ready-made materials that explain the bike benefit in a simple way. This means you do not have to spend time creating your own texts or presentations!
Free webinars: We regularly hold webinars where your employees can participate to learn more about how the program works and get answers to their questions directly from us.
Personal support: Our support team is always just a phone call or email away, ready to help both administrators and employees who ride bikes.
