As an employer, you have full flexibility and control over which employees can take advantage of the bike benefit. At the same time, the pickup process is fully adapted so that employees can get their bike at their own pace. Here, we explain what applies to both eligibility and pickup.
Who can be offered a benefit bike?
You as the employer decide entirely which employees can take advantage of the benefit. You control this easily by choosing who to send the invitation link to, as well as by approving or not approving the employees who register.
Swedish Tax Agency rules: To take advantage of the tax-free allowance of up to SEK 3,000 per year on the taxable benefit value, the rules primarily apply to permanent employees and require that the benefit be offered to all employees.
Other forms of employment: However, there is nothing preventing you from offering the benefit to, for example, fixed-term or hourly employees. It is up to you as the employer to assess whether the person’s salary space and period of employment are sufficient to cover the gross salary deduction throughout the entire leasing period (36 months).
When can the bike be picked up?
Our process is fully digital and automated. This means that we do not work with fixed ordering windows, giving your employees maximum flexibility.
Approved employee: Once you as the employer have approved an employee in the portal, the approval remains valid until you deactivate it.
Pick up in store: Once the employee has been approved, they can visit any participating retailer at their convenience to choose and pick up their dream bike.
