If a benefit bike has been stolen, the theft must be reported to the police immediately, after which the employee contacts an affiliated retailer to register the insurance claim in the portal and receive a replacement bike.
Step-by-step guide in the event of a benefit bike theft
1. File a police report
Plaintiff: The person who was using the benefit bike at the time of the theft must be listed as the plaintiff in the police report.
Certificate & case number: Save the complete police report and the case number, as these must be attached in the next step. (In the event of damage only, where no crime has occurred, no police report is required.)
2. Contact an affiliated retailer
Choosing a retailer: First, contact the retailer where the benefit bike was originally picked up to receive an equivalent replacement bike more quickly.
Register the claim: Ask the retailer to report and enter the insurance claim directly in the portal.
3. Provide detailed information
Detailed description: Answer all questions about the course of events as thoroughly as possible to minimize processing time and avoid follow-up questions from the insurance company.
Processing time: The insurance company will respond to the retailer within 6 business days after the claim has been submitted.
4. Pick up the replacement bike
Once the insurance claim has been approved, the retailer will contact the employee to arrange pickup of the replacement bike.
The complete insurance terms and conditions are available in the portal under Info Center.
